The Café Cassette : An old soul front stage again… |
“ … Le Café Cassette, for me, is the synthesis of the Café and Restaurant of my dreams…”, the wish of Philippe Porte when he renovated this establishment in 2001. He brought with him his own personal touch, all the while respecting the soul of a location that has survived much turmoil in Paris dating back to the 1920s. Here, you will find all the atmosphere and feel of old Saint Germain des Prés, blended with a modern and refined setting, (thanks to the work of Mr. Canot)
Chic, cozy, comfortable and popular. All the characteristics embodied by the charm and reputation of the quartier, not forgetting the Jazz notes that still resonate in the walls, streets, and gardens of the Latin Quarter. So come join us and find an old Saint Germain des Prés ambiance that is sure to enhance your dining experience. Spend your time drinking tea or an aperitif in either our smoking or non-smoking sections.
And because the Café Cassette is not only great for nourishing the body but also the spirit, there is even the possibility, while relishing your coffee, to peruse a daily newspaper or even the pages of the latest Prix Goncourt. Deliciously tempting, isn’t it? |
